San Francisco open your golden gates we'll have nobody wait outside your doooors

After arriving home early saturday morning from driving all night long, I was ready for yet another adventure! On monday
My friends and I headed to San Francisco to get my friends mom something that was only sold at a certain boutique giving us a perfect excuse to go. We decided since we are all broke we'd do more site seeing than shopping. We hit up Mrs. Doubtfire's house, Full House's house, Lombard Street, and Ghiradelli Square. It was a very fun day, and I'm glad Cali has better site seeing than Idaho. :)

The Time Has Come the Walrus Said...

Well time is running out. It feels like I just moved to good ol' rexburg and now I'm headed home in a week and a half. When I look back it seems like I just got here. Though I'm excited to go and be home for a bit I will miss those late night girl chats, the beautiful view of the temple, crazy rexburg friends, burning my food, learning guitar with my appt., living in filth, staying up all night, deciding who will plundge the toilet, fhe, my quick visits to utah, all the late night homework stresses, and all the new friends and roomates I have gained. I've definitely learned a lot living on my own in such a short time. But for now its time to say goodbye.

My Twilight Review

So I figured I've waited long enough for the opinions to have cooled down and here's my take on it all. I LOVED it. I mean of course there were those parts where I thought some things needed to be different, but overall it was great! I knew that I couldn't compare it to the books so I went into it completely open minded. I did get annoyed of the squeling girls who wouldn't zip it, but I got over it. I was first in line with my friend Rachel and soon our party of about 10 showed up. As soon as the man let the chord go and said enjoy your movie, I literally sprinted into the movie theatre. I heard someone running next to me and figured it was Rachel, but NO it was Chelsea! Of all people! It was a blast and reminded me of an extrememly calm version of comic con where I got to see the panel of the cast and listen to them talk and people ask questions. One girl even confessed her love to Edward/Rob Pattinson and I think I remember my friend restraining me so I didn't run up and slug her! At the con there were 6500 people and my friend and I got extremely close seats. It was a miracle and so crazy and fun! If New Moon comes to Comic Con this summer I'm all over it! Anyways loved the movie. loved, loved, loved it. I'll be seeing it again really soon.

CALIFORNIA: Here I Come!

California. Idaho. California. Idaho. I'm sorry but really California is sounding rather amazing to me right now! I miss my fam, moms food, lola, my bedroom, my bathroom, my car!! Don't get me wrong this whole roomate situation is really a blast but I'm excited to visit home. So my bags are packed and I'm ready to make the long haul home. It'll start around 5 on Friday and end at 10:00 am on Saturday morning. I love airplanes and traveling so me and Mr. Harry Potter will have a nice time. Twilight party on Saturday and I am stoked! All I have left to do is write a 5 page rough draft of a research paper!

Dearest Stress..

Dearest Stress,
I hate you.
love always your best friend,

Alexie

Today I had a huge schedule planned out of all the buckets of homework I needed to accomplish. So I go to sit down to open my religion folder that I needed to finish. Only to my surprise it closed at 10 o' clock last night instead of tonight! I'm trying really hard to stay calm and faithful but I already wasn't doing super hot in that class and now I went and did this! I kept feeling like there was something I needed to do, but I had no idea and brushed it off. NOW I know what it was. Thank goodness my Aunt Julie sent me beautiful twilight posters to ease my mind in this time of turmoil, and lack of responcibility on my part. These pictures display my shock of finding out my paper was due last night, what I wish I was doing, and my future husband. ( mom this is what I look like in case you forgot.)

My First Haircut

So when a certain cousin of mine was on the verge of breaking the honor code here, he came to me for help. I had to use my school scissors, you know the kind that cut paper, or various paper-ess products. I don't want to brag but for my first haircutting experience I think it went pretty well. Before on bottom. After on top.

The Haunted MiLL

So last night we decided to get a group together and go to a haunted house called the Haunted Mill. I'll say that my heart is still a little tender from last night! It was THE scariest haunted house I have ever been too. We had to climb narrow stairs in which someone proceeded to grab my ankle!! Then we had to crawl; yes crawl through small tiny spaces and a man chased me with a chainsaw inside the small crawling part! Can you say terrifying? I was crawling away from a mad man! Then they had golem from lord of the rings there and he would not leave me alone! He did the voice perfectly and everything. I thought I was going to die multiple times. I even head butted my cousin in the nose. I feel really bad about that, but a dog jumped out at me! There were also times where we had to walk in the complete pitch black and climb down this carpeted thing that was all downhill. Then we had to cross this HUGE wobbly bridge and I thought for sure I was going to plumet to my death into the river. There was even a really scary witch that told us a small story of her children dieing. I feel bad because I literally was a leach to anyone next to me. Needless to say it was such a blast. We then watched the "scary" movie 1408 but it actually was just really dumb except for one small scary moment. Let the Halloween festivites begin.

Pumpkin Carving FHE

So last night our ever so kind fhe brothers (the two that come) brought us all pumpkins and frosties! How kind. We had fun getting into teams and carving these bad boys. We had lots of creativity and ice cream floating throughout the house.

Procrastination

So do you ever have those days where you have a rather LARGE list of things you need to get done, but somehow you can think of every reason to do everything else but what you need to do?! I call this self torture. Why do I torture myself? why?! I'll rearrange my closet, do the dishes, take a shower, watch t.v., shine my shoes, and watch my roomates eat dinner before I can muster up that strength to do my homework. Those days I can come home and finish my homework early are days of mircacles! I wonder why I just don't do that everyday. Ellen Degeneres reminds us to,"procrastinate now, don't put it off."

Ray Lamontagne

So I just had to let everyone know Ray Lamontagne one of my favorite singers of all time just came out with a new cd. I'm here to tell you for your own good to go and get it NOW! I haven't listened to all of the songs so if there's anything shady in there don't judge me, but his voice is absolutely beautiful!! If you love amazing music then he's your guy.

What I'm up to

I forgot to mention what I was studying when I started this little blog. So I thought I'd let all you who wanted to know my plans for the future! So mom here's for you! ;) Anyways right now I'm planning on majoring in English Creative Writing and minoring in International Studies. I want to be able to write and travel. I'm not sure exactly where this will take me and I'm sure it might change slightly. With my minor I'll need to learn a language and study abroad. I'm WAY excited about this part. I'll be studying French and will hopefully will get to study somewhere in France. I was able to go there last year and Paris was my absolutae favorite. I thought it was everything it's built up to be and more, so magical in every sense. We shall see where I end up but these are my overall goals. Night!

Oh Utah...

My mother and sisters traveled all the way to utah to come and visit me! It was quite a task getting there as I had everything planned to leave Thursday and my teacher decided to grace me with a nice lovely one day ONLY test on Friday. So I couldn't go with my originial ride and ended up taking the shuttle. I kindly placed my backpack on the seat next to me. I don't mind people sitting next to me usually but I mean I had loads of homework to do and I was tired and need my space! don't judge me. I made it Utah and back safe and sound. I had a blast eating real food, going to the movies, listening to my Grandma serenade me, walking in the snow, and most importantly shopping! It's hard to go from school doing everything to having your mom back to take care of you, to going back to school again. I had to do that whole transition thing again! I'm glad to be back though and am looking forward to Thanksgiving!

Boo!

We all decided that our apartment was looking QUITE drab so my cousin decided to spruce it up a bit. The decorations really added a more "homey" feeling as our moms are full out decoraters and we had to do something. I really can't take much credit though Molly did all of it. We even have a vampire wall. It's not complete we still have a few roomates to vampify but you can just call us the Cullenistas! (im so sorry for any of you who don't get that refrence)

Love You Forever

Ok so this weekend I'm in Salt Lake and I was in my Grandma's room. I was looking through her bookshelf discovering all sorts of books from my childhood when I stumbled upon my most favorite book of all time called Love You Forever. If any of you haven't read this little book, go out and get it now!! It's an older book I remember reading or being read too when I was really young. So anyways get it. I'm headed off to the mall all by my lonesome this blistery afternoon in search of a much excited birthday present for a mother of mine. I know exactly what I'll be getting! Anyways off I go..

Sunday Picnic!

So today we decided hey were going to go on a picnic! So we loaded our sanwhiches, cookies, and macaroni and cheese, and anything else we could scrounge up and headed on a picnic at the park across the street. Our intent was to take some really fun pictures, but we ate, talked, and all fell asleep in the sun. It was delicious and good to get out! Here's most of the roomies, and me behind the camera. (:

Sunday Walks continued...

So as I said we walked to the temple..found the college sign...and took a few pics...and were serenated by a few random boys

Sunday Walks...

So we have been layin around all day so tonight we all decided to talk a walk up to the temple. On any given night this calls for random people doing random things anywhere y0u go. So first we walked past the schools stadium and every sunday they have this awesome thing called singing under the stadium or something to that affect. It's where students gather under the stadium and sing beautiful church hymns. We all decided we were definitely going to have to try it out next Sunday. Here's a little clip of what it sounds like. The bottom one sounds best.

Fa fa friday Night

So on friday the cousins got together for a movie and dinner! We had a really fun time and saw a great movie! Then saturday was a huge storm which was so much fun! I went grocery shopping and got to cart molly around while she grabbed my groceries for me while nearly running over many people with our cart. Unfortunately there are no pics of this, and we ended the night playing wii with some new friends and watching a movie. Now its Sunday and I have a nice heap of homework calling me name!
